Brief Description
The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC), Bihar, has invited online applications for a combined recruitment drive for several constable-level posts. This notification is for vacancies in three separate departments: 'Prohibition Constable' in the Prohibition, Excise & Registration Department; 'Warder' (Kakshpal) in the Prison & Correctional Services, Home Department; and 'Mobile Squad Constable' in the Transport Department. The selection process will involve a written examination followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), with the final merit list being prepared based on the performance in the PET.

Age Limit (Cut-off varies by post)
The age limit varies for each post. The general minimum age is 18 years. The maximum age for Unreserved category is 25 years for Prohibition/Mobile Squad Constable and 23 years for Warder. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- This includes Maulvi Certificate from Bihar State Madrasa Board or Shastri (with English) / Acharya (without English) from Bihar State Sanskrit Board.
Driving License (For Mobile Squad Constable Only)
- Candidates for the post of Mobile Squad Constable must possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) or HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) driving license issued on or before 26/09/2025.
Exam Pattern & Selection Process
Written Exam100 Marks / 2 Hours
- The exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions of 10th (Matric) level. Subjects include Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, Science, and GK/Current Affairs. A minimum of 30% marks is required to qualify for the PET.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)100 Marks
- Race (दौड़): Upto 50 Marks
- Shot Put (गोला फेंक): Upto 25 Marks
- High Jump (ऊँची कूद): Upto 25 Marks
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in these three events of the PET.
