Brief Description
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Central Railway (NCR) has issued a centralized notification for the engagement of 1763 Act Apprentices for the year 2025-26. This is a one-year training program under the Apprentices Act 1961, not a permanent job. Applications are invited online for various designated trades in Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi divisions, as well as the Jhansi workshop. Selection is based purely on the merit of marks obtained in 10th Class and ITI, with no written examination or viva.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- The candidate must have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.
Technical Qualification
- The candidate must have passed the ITI in the relevant trade, with the certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India.
Mode of Selection
Merit-Based Selection
- There will be **no written test or viva**.
- The selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (10th Class) and the ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
