Brief Description

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct an open competitive examination for the recruitment of Head Constable {Assistant Wireless Operator (AWO)/Tele-Printer Operator (TPO)} in Delhi Police. Candidates from all parts of the country are eligible to apply for these Group 'C' posts.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects.
  • OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.

Professional Attainments

  • Proficiency in Computer Operation (Qualifying).
  • Test of English word processing speed: 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.
  • Test of Basic Computer Functions (Opening/Closing PC, printing, MS office usage, etc.).

  • Physics, Chemistry. Basic concepts of thermodynamics, mechanics, Newton's Law of Motion, Gravity, sound, Magnetism, Ohm's Law, etc.

Part C: Mathematics 25 Marks

  • Number systems, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Averages, Simple and Compound interest, Profit, Loss & Discount, Time, Distance & Work, Algebra etc.

Part D: Reasoning 20 Marks

  • Analogy, Alphanumeric Series, Number Series, Critical Thinking, Coding and de-coding, Logical reasoning, Blood Relations, Syllogisms, Venn Diagrams, etc.

Part E: Computer Knowledge 10 Marks

  • Elements of Word Processing, MS Excel, Communication (Basics of E-mail), Internet, WWW and Web Browsers etc.
