Brief Description

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), East Central Railway (ECR), has invited online applications from interested candidates for the engagement of 1149 Act Apprentices for the year 2025-26. This is a one-year training program under the Apprentices Act 1961, designed to provide practical training in various designated trades across different divisions and workshops of the East Central Railway. The selection for these positions will be purely based on merit, calculated from the marks obtained in the 10th class and ITI examinations. There will be no written test or interview for this engagement.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board.

Technical Qualification

  • Must have an ITI certificate in the notified trade, issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Selection Process

Merit-Based Selection

  • There will be **no written examination or viva-voce**.
  • The selection will be based on a merit list prepared for each division/unit.
  • The merit list will be calculated by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% marks) and the ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
