Brief Description

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to various posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in different subjects under the Directorate of Education, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The selection will be based on a One-Tier written examination.

Eligibility, Pay & Age Limit

Educational Qualification

  • A Bachelor's Degree (Honours/Pass) or equivalent from a recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate, including the concerned subject.
  • Degree in Education (B.Ed.).
  • Must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II conducted by CBSE.

Pay Scale & Age Limit

  • Pay Scale: Pay Level-7 (₹44900 - ₹142400).
  • Age Limit: Below 32 years.
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other categories is applicable as per government orders.

Selection Process & Syllabus

Selection Method

  • Selection will be made through a One Tier (T) examination scheme.
  • The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi), and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong MCQ answer.

Exam Syllabus (200 Marks)

  • Section-A (100 Marks): General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, and English Language & Comprehension (20 marks each).
  • Section-B (100 Marks): Objective type MCQs on the subject concerned as per the recruitment rules for the post, including questions on teaching methodology/B.Ed.

1. What is the selection process for the TGT posts?

The selection will be made through a One Tier Computer Based Test (CBT). The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in this examination.

2. Is there any negative marking in the exam?

Yes, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective MCQ test.

3. I am an OBC candidate from another state. Can I get reservation benefits?

No, only OBC candidates from Delhi, notified by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, will be given the benefit of reservation. Candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved (UR) candidates.

4. What is the application fee for a female candidate?

All women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

5. Can I apply for TGT if I have a B.A. degree with 44% marks?

No, you need to have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in your Bachelor's Degree to be eligible for the TGT posts.
