Brief Description
Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh invites online applications from eligible candidates to fill 218 posts of Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Primary Teacher (Class I-V) on a contract basis. Selection will be based on the merit of an objective-type written test. No interview will be conducted.

Essential Qualifications
- Graduate or its equivalent from a recognised University.
- Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) of not less than 02 years duration.
- Pass in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).
- Certificate of ICT skill course (like CCC - 80 hours) is required before the appointment letter is issued.
Remuneration & Age Limit
- Remuneration: A fixed monthly remuneration of ₹45,260/-.
- Age Limit (as on 01/01/2025): Between 21 to 37 years.
- Age relaxation for SC/OBC/ESM/PwBD candidates will be given as per government instructions.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection Method
- The merit list for selection will be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in the Objective Type Test.
- There will be **no interview**.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the test will be 40% for all candidates.
- In case of a tie in marks, the candidate with higher marks in D.El.Ed. will rank higher. If still tied, the older candidate will rank higher.

- **Duration:** 2 hours 30 minutes
- **Negative Marking:** Yes, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The test will cover 11 subjects including General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Teaching Aptitude, ICT, Languages (English, Punjabi, Hindi), Maths, General Science, and Social Science.
